The harbor located in the Barrington Harbor neighborhood is a private harbor for use by Association Members only. The harbor has 58 slips and a launch ramp available for in and out use. Electricity is available in most areas. The harbor parking lot has some spaces for day parking for both cars and vehicles with trailers. the harbor and harbor park are lit at night. ​

​Harbor Park Rules & Guidelines

​The Harbor Park is a shared community asset intended for day use and enjoyment by all association members and their accompanied guests. To help maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment, please observe the following guidelines:

General Use
  • The harbor and park areas are open to all association members for recreational activities such as boating, picnicking, walking, jogging, fishing, and outdoor relaxation.
  • Guests are welcome only when accompanied by a member who is actively participating in the visit.
  • Commercial or private business use of the facility is not permitted.
Security & Access
  • The harbor entrance gate must remain locked at all times to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Keys are available to association members through the Harbor Master.
Parking
  • Parking in the harbor lot is limited. Members are encouraged to limit visits to one vehicle per family.
  • Guests should park on nearby streets whenever possible.
Cleanliness & Maintenance
  • Please help keep the harbor clean and beautiful.
  • Garbage cans are available during boating season; during the off-season, members should take all trash home for disposal.
​Piers, Slips & Watercraft Policies
  • All watercraft stored in the harbor must be solely owned by members of the association. Routine use or co-ownership by non-members is strictly prohibited. Repeated violations may result in loss of pier privileges.
  • The purchase, maintenance, installation, removal, and sale of shore stations are the sole responsibility of the member owner.
  • Piers are rented on a first-come, first-served basis through the Harbor Master. Members may rent more than one pier if space is available.
  • All boaters using the harbor must provide: A current Certificate of Insurance and a valid Illinois boat registration for their watercraft.
  • Launch privileges and overnight mooring are limited to member-owned boats unless prior approval is obtained from the Harbor Master.
  • Guest boats arriving by river may use short-term tie-up space along the northeast wall near the boat ramp.
Swimming Prohibited
  • Swimming is strictly prohibited in all park and harbor areas.

The harbormaster is responsible for the management of the harbor. This management includes all maintenance, along with contracting to have the piers installed and removed each boating season. Nominal annual fees are assessed for boaters using the harbor. Any questions regarding use of the harbor should be directed to the harbormaster​
